MTM Scholarships

Whether you are a student feeling the desire to prepare for ministry by attending a UPCI affiliated College or University, or an individual feeling the burden to further pursue a missions endeavor, we are here to help. Many people face the challenges of raising finances for their tuition or missions trips. Fortunately, MTM has given over 1 million dollars to provide scholarships to qualified people seeking to be trained for service in the Kingdom of God. UPCI Youth Ministries is grateful for the opportunity to partner with these worthy recipients.

2026-2027 MTM UPCI Endorsed Bible/Christian College or University Scholarship Application

Move the Mission Scholarship application is available until February 1 each year.

Note:  The 2026-2027 MTM Christian College or University Scholarship Application is available until February 1, 2026. 

Applicant Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be no older than twenty-five years of age on the application deadline of February 1st.

  • Since scholarships are funded by UPCI churches of the United States and Canada, applicants must also be citizens of these countries.

  • Full-time UPCI Endorsed Bible/Christian College or University student attending classes in-person, online, or online and in-person. Students do not have to live on campus.

  • All applications must include aStudent Aid Report/FAFSA (US) or CanLearn Report (Canada), a copy of the student’s most current transcripts, two reference forms. Freshman applicants must also include a copy of their ACT or SAT or Provincial Exam (Canadian students) scores. Here are step-by-step instructions on filling out the FAFSA form.

    • Your district is usually your state—Arkansas District, Missouri District, etc. However, there are several exceptions—Texas, New York, New Jersey, California, etc. For example, if you live in the state of Texas you can either be part of the Texas District, North Texas District, Texico District, or South Texas District. The state of California can be the Western District or Southern California (So Cal) District. New York State can be New York District or New York Metro District. There are several other exceptions.

    • If you are not certain which district your area is considered to be a part of you can ask your pastor, section leader, or district youth president. You can also contact the UPCI headquarters in Weldon Spring, MO at 636-229-7900.

  • List your high school and any college(s) you have attended, GPA, dates attended, date graduated, and degree/diploma received.

  • The UPCI YM will contact Global Missions with a list of MTM scholarship recipients.

  • You must submit all payments minus the scholarship amount $1,500 to Global Missions before the scholarship payment will be applied. Payment will be made directly to Global Missions.

  • The UPCI YM will email you about any missing information and request that you follow-up to ensure its submission to our office.

This is usually a five-digit number ranging from 00000-99999. The EFC number can be found on the confirmation email or Student Aid Report.   • You can go to the Bible/Christian College’s website or contact the administration office.

    • If you are graduating from high school, you will be considered a Bible/Christian College or University freshman.

    • If you have attended/graduated from college, contact the Bible/Christian College or University admissions office and ask them if you are considered a freshman or upperclassman—this will depend upon the number of credits you will transfer or what type of Bible/Christian College or University program you are applying for.
